The Great Blizzard

Bob Muscovitz recalled the storm of 1991 for the Anoka County Historical Society collections:

“Ouch! I was in plowing and cleaning sidewalks and most everything in a loader while Rick Wesp had the trackless sidewalk machine helping to open up a street for the police who took our four-wheel drive pickups. He would go down the street two ways to get where an ambulance was needed while the big loaders that the streets department had out was at the other end of town. I worked at the downtown area in the swinger loader. We must’ve been out maybe 15 or 20 hours. I never got OT (overtime) because I was a supervisor, but I’ll never forget it.”

This originally ran in the Anoka Herald newspaper.
